Snagov Museum Collections

The Snagov Museum Collections were set up by the Snagov Foundation in 2011. In this space, there are several groupings of materials, activities and stories related to the cultural and natural heritage of Snagov commune. The Snagov Museum Collections house about 5000 pieces, reflecting the personality of this territory in the middle of the former Codri of Vlăsiei.

The museum comprises seven main collections, consisting of photographs, articles, maps, old objects, films and multimedia presentations: archaeology and numismatics, ethnography and traditions, good and “not-good” personalities, monasteries and churches, Vlad Basarab, the history of water sports in Snagov, eco-tourism of the Snagov area. Also, more than ten activities can be experienced here, derived from four specific local crafts and a set of aquariums, terrariums and mini lakes can be seen.
